Well for a different opinion I hate panning with a mouse unless have button or 
key
down.. Its a game interface feature but it makes for a difficult interface when 
you have more complex things
to do. In particular, if the mouse is panning without a key down, then accessing
toolbars etc is difficult.

A revert to previous view button and stack is really good feature.
