Thanks, that sounds promising.

Well, after a bit of floundering around I downloaded

evince_2.30.3-2+squeeze1.debian.tar.gz

but I see nothing at the toplevel to indicate how you make anything with
it - no makefile, configure script etc ...
Any further guidance?
