I hope to have a fix for DERBY-2991 (index split deadlock) finished by then. If we come to the conclusion that the currently suggested approach is acceptable (both that it works and that there's no unreasonable performance impact) I think it should be ready by that date, but if another approach needs to be found it may take longer. Anyway, it shouldn't be a problem to produce a release without the fix. -- Knut Anders
