Do you mind if I make changes as in the attached version?
To run the client you need derbyclient.jar in the classpath, not derby.jar.
Also, I made some line break changes so the code will fit in the PDF and
typical browser topic window, and then made the rest of the code consistent
(curly braces, comments), for readability.
If you feel strongly about some of this (like putting comments all on one line
if possible), I can easily revert.
