Could you possibly also provide instructions on how to shut down the Network 
Server after running the program? This does not work:

 jdench 64 =>java -cp ${DERBY_LIB}/derby.jar:${DERBY_LIB}/derbynet.jar:. 
-Dderby.authentication.provider=NATIVE:nativeAuthDB:LOCAL 
org.apache.derby.drda.NetworkServerControl shutdown
Thu Mar 22 14:46:42 EDT 2012 : 08004:Connection authentication failure 
occurred.  Reason: Invalid authentication..

I've gotten in this state before and the only way I could get out of it was to 
kill the server process ...
