Sure,
I should have been clearer when talking about date-time parser since
there is a distinction between that tool and Chandler's use of the tool.
I was really referring to the Chandler code that handles stamping.
I will take a look at your code but would be great to make it very
generic such that any Chandler or 3rd Party code can leverage it.
Thanks,
Brian

Hi Brian,
The date-time code is not doing any stamping at all. It simply parses
the text we input and returns a time tuple if a recognizable date/time
existed in the text.
I am currently working on stamping the items and handling the timers,
etc in Chandler. You can see the patch for Bug 6470 in case you want
to see how I am doing it.
It will be great of we can reuse the same code for your purpose too.
Thanks.
Bye,
Darshana

Great,
This will work exactly as I wanted for mail. Sounds like I can just
create the Message Item, stamp it the type request by the user via
IMAP (either Task or Calendar), then pass it along to the datet-ime
parser. If there is additional information the date-time tool will
handle any additional stamping as well as adding timer or start and
end date if contained in the mail subject or body.
