I'm not following. How would a user email a change that someone else
made? You're editing. Morgen's changes sync in the background. And
then you hit Send. In that situation, how could Morgen's changes have
been made after yours? Is it the difference between 'time when user
starts to make edits' versus 'time user finishes making edits'?

That sounds good, except that it's not really defined. In the edit/
update case, I could email you a change Morgen made, along with a
change that I made previously (but Morgen's change is later, so my
lastModifiedBy says Morgen).
