After chatting a bit more with bcm on IRC, here's a more complete proposal for rationalizing our story re:

1. Subscribing versus Sharing from the web UI
2. Keeping Server/Hub accounts in sync with Chandler Desktop and various CalDAV clients (Apple iCal 3.x)

http://chandlerproject.org/Notes/HubDialogRehaul

The dialog rehaul is 3 part:
A multi-tabbed Collection Details Dialog
Separate instructions for subscribing versus sharing
Separate tab for downloading tasks and events as .ics file
Users trying to subscribe with Chandler Desktop, Apple iCal 3.x and other CalDAV clients are encouraged to visit the 'Sync' tab in 'Settings' to learn how to sync their Hub account with their application of choice.
Filling out the Settings Dialog
Added CalDAV account info to General Tab
Added new Sync tab with instructions on how to keep Chandler Desktop and Apple iCal 3.x in sync with your Chandler Hub account. A subscribe dialog for ticket view that is distinct from the Collection Details Dialog
Separate tab for downloading tasks and events as .ics file
Users with Chandler Hub accounts are encouraged to add the collection to their account visit the 'Sync' tab in 'Settings' to learn how to sync their Hub account with their application of choice.

Please review the proposal carefully. The subscribe versus sync story is complicated and I don't want to lead users astray. There are also a number of verbiage refinements.

Thanks!

Mimi
