people may not be aware of the fact that an effort at porting KDE4 to OpenSolaris and Studio Compilers (http://www.opensolaris.org/os/project/kde/) has been ongoing for quite a while, but as it is (mostly?) unfunded by Sun (AFAIK), it has to rely on voluntary work.
