Indeed it is, yet even that oldest and simplest of 3D-like features is  
still one of the most troublesome areas for new users (and indeed for  
some window managers).  People still lose smaller windows behind  
larger ones, or end up typing into the wrong window because another  
one pops up in front grabbing the focus for some reason, or have  
issues dragging into partially-obscured windows... if we haven't even  
properly nailed all those problems after all these years, what chance  
do we have with the *really* tricky stuff? :P
