My comment wasn't directed at your judgment. I was actually agreeing
with you and I feel that Mozilla did an extremely poor job in vetting
ZTE as a 'partner'.  

As an owner of a ZTE Open, my best advise would be to avoid the ZTE and
get a phone from a company that seems to care. If the rollout of 1.1 is
any indication, get a geeksphone; they've had 1.1 for a few months
and, from what I can tell, they haven't had anti-consumer locks on
the devices that they manufacture.
