I wouldn't say we "support" FLAC until 2.2. We can *decode* FLAC in earlier versions, but you have to change the file extension to something else (e.g. .mp3), and we don't parse any metadata for it. However, as mentioned, I've already completed a patch to parse FLAC metadata, which can land in 2.2. I don't think we can uplift it though, since it's landing on top of an almost complete rewrite of the music app's metadata parsing that's coming with 2.2.
