Hopefully. Probably we should continue this thread in English so that
you as one of the folks concerned can catch what's it all about.
I have outlined my position in a previous followup to one of your
postings already.
It differs to MWs position in so far as he is taking things more easy
and -- being unaware of all the details we both discussed already months
and years ago (remember for instance the translation of the mailing list
help item) and the work that has been done already in this or that
version which needs to be checked and sync'd in both directions -- can
be done within just a few hours. Plus that this work *has* already been
done by him and would just require a sort of "quick check".
It's much more than that and this is what I'm trying to explain. IIRC
we both sent several versions just of this mailing list help item back
and forth, eliminated misunderstandings etc. pp., and this took us weeks
already. I can't even exactly remember if it had been finished these
days or if there's still something to do.
Plus that it's not just the English part which requires a careful
examination (but there you can't help me, I'm afraid ;)).
I thought I would have made all that clear already in the corresponding
thread a while ago but obviously this is not the case and thus it needs
to be repeated (at least I have no idea what else I could do).
I further tried to explain that this work -- in the German and English
part -- can only be done by somebody who has a certain skill level in
either language and that the resource and help files of a *release*
version require a decent quality in terms of orthography, correct
wording and -- last but not least -- content.
Although I really hate to do this work, I see nobody else who would be
able to do the final review and corrections and am thus taking the
position that the release has to wait until I will find the time to take
care of it. One also needs to be able to concentrate on such kind of
work, and currently thus is absolute impossible for me.
MW might correct and/or make addendums to my description of his
position.
