Ditto. In fact, there are quite a few "standards" for XML-based RPC.
I investigated them for a project I am working on. I would suggest
using something like SOAP, WDDX, etc. (see
<URL:http://www.w3.org/2000/03/29-XML-protocol-matrix>) rather than
reinventing the wheel.

long enough to remark that XML _is_ a LISP.
