No.

Sounds like a bug/delay in NSI's system. He probably transferred it
before they had actually informed the registry.

Actually IT IS netsol policy! However it is their policy when
transferring domains TO THEM, not away. The person you talked to was
confusing transfers in versus transfers out. Netsol pretends you do not
have time remaining on a current registration if you transfer the domain
to them. They publically stated and clarified this for me on the
domain-policy mailing some months ago. So you are at a disadvantage by
transferring to them (unless your domain expires a few days before the
transfer).

It is a big selling point for us, as in:
Transfer your domain to us: retain your existing registration term.
Transfer your domain to NSI: LOSE your existing registration term.
(the above would be aimed at domains registered at non NSI registrars)
Also good to state if someone is thinking about transferring away from you
to NSI.
NOTE: I am sending this to each of you individually and the list, however
none of my mail has been delivered by Majordomo since the sendmail change
in mid-January so other list members may never see it. Chuck any word on
the problem yet? My messages don't bonce back so it seems that Majordomo
is receiving them... (I'm going to check our mail server logs after
sending this one and send you more information Chuck)
