Gentle reminder that you're looking a gift horse in the mouth with this.
Eugene has done a lot of work here as a first contribution. If there's nothing
technically wrong with this approach, he should be rewarded for that. If there
is a simplification that you think should be made, you are able to do so
yourself. I feel like this is not being sufficiently represented in this
discussion.
