Review comment:
Looking some more when an connection with MQTT is created the
MQTTProtocolManer is called, so actually may not even need notification could
just hook into that logic and flow.
createConnectionEntry method. As such you could just hook in the logic you
need there as when a new connection is made that will be called. We also have
the old connection
