So I think we are WAY overdue for a release. One thing that's been bouncing around in the back of my head is our standard footer:
""" This project is powered by Apache Allura. Copyright © 2014 The Apache Software Foundation, Licensed under the Apache License, Version 2.0. Apache, Allura, Apache Allura, and the Apache feather logo are trademarks of The Apache Software Foundation. """ We added the Copyright and trademark lines for our own forge-allura.apache.org site, since they are required there. But I don't think they are appropriate for us to release for everyone to use. I mean if Company X runs Allura, their site shouldn't say copyright ASF. The content they produce and show on their Allura instance is not copyright ASF. (The allura code is copyright ASF, of course, and we say that in the codebase in the NOTICE file). So does it make sense to remove the Copyright and trademark lines from our standard footer and keep only the "powered by" line? And add them back only for forge-allura.apache.org (using a custom theme, perhaps). And after that, I think we should make a release. -- Dave Brondsema : [email protected] http://www.brondsema.net : personal http://www.splike.com : programming <><
