It is unfortunate that it was not properly voted on. 

There was a release announcement and people are using it. That is the
important thing. I think it would do the Avalon project significant harm
to withdraw it now and certainly, should it be withdrawn, it must be for
a reason good enough to justify the withdrawal of any other properly
released product.

If there is no adequate reason to withdraw it then propose a vote to
ratify the release. 

This is a separate issue from the main point of my post and hopefully
can be quickly and easily dealt with. It should not be allowed to cloud
the issues I raised.
