Steve, you must learn to read "what is the actual intention" behind a proposal, instead of attacking individual items within the proposal.
Aaron's underlining message is about 'existing Avalon Framework 4.1 container vendors'. Everything else is a series of debatable items/suggestions on how to go about it, but probably not 'close to his/their heart', in which case a compromise can be struck easily.
Instead, the "near and dear" is getting lost in a flood of arguments against the items, and by that shooting down the very basic intent, keeping 4.1 documentation intact, in form, shape and URL space. Nothing wrong with that, as long as the visibility is low to 'new' and 'average' users who are not provided by direct links from these 'vendors'.
Aaron, I think you need to clarify a bit.
