Any of the guys working on code can present a solid case - even some of our users are going above and beyond the things we dream about. Hell, if we are the eagles - they are the gods.
So long as your not involved directly, an approach of demand versus seeking active engagement is possibly not the best way to capture hearts and minds. One could also argue that your own - shall we say "observations" don't really capture a spirit of cooperation. But I have to confess - your recent plug on the "Master Manipulator" [1] while amusing in the extreme, is, IMO, misplaced - that honor goes to Niccolo Machiavelli (1469-1527).
