If you've got any pointers to introductory material about
PRISM/RDF, I'd appreciate them.
Here's a couple articles Tony Hammond (who I've been chattin with)
contributed to:
http://www.dlib.org/dlib/december04/hammond/12hammond.html
http://www.xml.com/lpt/a/2003/07/23/rssone.html
I forget if I mentioned, but I've talked to Tony about suggesting
improvements to PRISM.
Plus, these developers would be all ready to support OOo when its
new bibliographic feature set is out. (at least if I understood you
correctly that communication with OOo will be via HTTP using stuff
like SRU/SRW+CQL, right?)
What we have been asking for is that bib support be moved to a plug-in
API based on ZOOM, which has out of the box support for z39.50 and
SRU/W. Other plug-ins can be added.
I have gotten no confirmation from Sun at this level of detail.
However, the Sun developers agree with the notion that bib support ought
to be a plug-in, so that's encouraging.
