Is it necessary that the reference list will be automatically regenerated
whenever new citation is added? Would not it be enough to press some key
(aka F9 in Word -- recompute fields)?

Amen! Should be there some consideration for different encoding of the
source? I mean a lot of BibTeX files I have met could be either in some
weird ISO 8859-* encoding (or its Windows counterparts) or in TeX
combinations (``this is for different double-quotes'' -- not talking about
German \ss or Czech \v -- my name is Mat\v{e}j, which is Matěj). Of course,
we may require that the BibTeX database would be reprocessed into plain
UTF-8, but we should think about that.

Nothing else,

Matěj
