...Hmm, yes this is a serious issue - but we have this in all 2.1.x releases :) - so perhaps we should simply add this to the "known issues" category as well.
Ok - but isn't there a super-easy way of disabling the persistent store by default? Not sure about this, but if it's just two lines it might be better.
