+1I also thought about releasing a "publishing edition", a binary with blocks which are useful for basic XML to HTML/PDF/SVG publishing enabled.
I know 2.2 will make this much easier, but it wouldn't be hard to do with 2.1.x and it might help people who "just" want to do publishing stuff with Cocoon.
Now, I'm very busy until the end of January, so I won't be able to make this happen ATM. Just thought I'd share the idea.
