What I mean is instead of using the IE toolkit, then use the firefox toolkit. 
This could mean (but I am not sure) that we only program once against the 
firefox toolkit and use it across platforms.

Alternatively, we program against IE toolkit for windows and firefox toolkit 
for linux, not very efficient.

The toolkit (any of them, we in general refer to them as webkit) allows you to 
run the javascript and more as an applicition (meaning without a network 
connection).

And we dont mean the browser as such, but the libraries supplied with the 
browser at least with IE there are a relative big difference in system demand.
