I mentioned on COR-11 that node.js could also be a consideration. It runs fine
locally. It is not exactly a full web server. It uses the Google V8
JavaScript engine and seems to rely on some libraries that Corinthia could use
also.
I think for tablet and mobile, I am not clear that a full-up offline operation
is so feasible. Isn't there an always-connected assumption? (Well, I guess
not for Kindle, so maybe not for iPad either. Have to think about this one.)
