Just because the ASF constrains itself to asynchronous, text-only interaction, doesn't mean the survey team should force themselves into that same box. I think the fidelity of the survey could be harmed by forcing the consultancy into only this modality. However, nothing should prevent them from using email-based feedback as an additional channel, especially when surveying a wider audience. Feedback from specific individuals (as in Milestone 5) has a much clearer need to be synchronous as well as asynchronous. > Milestone 1 "Feedback collected in a 1-hour session with ASF members” - > wouldn't it be better to do this asynchronously and over a longer time? Who is being consulted here? If it's dev@diversity, or private@diversity, I tend to agree with Justin. > Milestone 3 "Initial results are shared with ASF as a presentation” - will > this be recorded for people who are interested that can’t make that 1 hour > session? I agree that the other direction of information transmission (them to us) should include deliverables and a recording for posterity. I'm happy to host this on Zoom where I have the ability to record audio and any video/screenshare that's done, into files that anyone can have; just let me know. > Milestone 4 “Feedback collected in a 1-hour session with ASF members.” - this > could be done asynchronously on a mailing list over a longer period? > Milestone 6 - "are shared with ASF as a presentation in a 1-hour session” - > see above > Milestone 7 - "are shared with ASF as a presentation in a 1-hour session” - > see above > > One other question with milestone 5 - how will these 20 people be selected?
