1) Setting up the suff you need to be able to tunnel is really daunting.
That's a major understatement from my point of view. Scott is writing instructions for me, and I sure hope I can work out what to do once I get them, because the info currently available (on this page, http://www.openoffice.org/scdocs/ddSSHGuide.html) left me in nowhere land. It sounded straightforward enough but either assumed some mystic knowledge that I don't have, or it left out a few critical bits of info that I don't enough know enough to ask about, or both.
I felt a lot better when Daniel told me even he had trouble getting set up.
2) You also implicitly assumed that the user has a Unix-like system, which many don't. Jean doesn't.
No, I'm stuck with WinXP for the moment.
