The problem lies in your thinking that you have to list every single 
device. Start by writing documentation that is *sufficient* for most 
users. Trying to cover absolutely everything on an introductory doc 
demonstrates lack of familiarity with writing docs.

Nonetheless, I am a confident Unix/Linux user.

I have made more precise comments than that, you just haven't paid 
attention. Honestly, I am not about to rewrite this page because I have 
tried rewriting pages at OOo too darn many times and I never get anywhere. 
Every contribute I try to make to the website goes silently ignored.
