you sent them to the wrong place; hence the rejection.

If they were sent to the wrong place then that is because the
documentation said to submit them to the wrong place.

If you have documents and will release them under PDL then make a task issue
and assign it directly to grsingleton. I will be more than happy to review your
submission with a eye for quick publication.

Fine but oooauthors is not an OpenOffice.org21 project as you well know.

a) The documentation for OOo that I write, will be submitted at OOoAuthors.
b) The documentation that I am currently working on, is _not_ for OOo.
[This is the project that I find far more rewarding.]

you can either ask the CC to replace us, or go away.

That response was a) Way too predictable;
b) So typical it ain't funny;
c) A very good example of why OOo is _not_ a good place for contribute;

I am sorry I wasn't around to see this sooner, but:

There are rules that I and my fellow Leads/Co-Leads have to follow, they are set by the Community Council as well as Sun's Legal Department.

If you prefer OOoAuthors, that is great. The process there is definately faster in some cases. The use of CC as the license has created some problems, but we can hopefully work around those soon.

We are all volunteers in this mix, we need to understand this. Each of us have an area where we have decided we can make our mark on OOo, and make it a better product. We work for free, for most of us. Some may be taking side jobs as such, but the bulk of us are working for free. So that means we are doing this because we LIKE doing it. It is our passion. As with all things of Passion, sometimes things get heated up. Emails do not carry tone very well, and on occassion they send it a little too well. Lets keep a focus on what is important to the project/projects at hand, and let's try not to get this into an ego match.

Now to the task at hand:

I will be setting up the contributing page this week. If anyone has any ideas on making things easier/better, now is your chance to get in on the ground floor.

Thanks to everyone for being passionate about this project. Now let's channel it into doing some good for everyone.

Ok...
