I have been lurking on the list for awhile now, and it is not clear to

documentation.openoffice.org?
Best way is to subscribe to the on-line help mailing list. Look under
Mailing lists on http://documentation.openoffice.org/ That way you can
bring your ideas directly to those who are involved with Help. You
should also have a look at the Online Help section of
http://documentation.openoffice.org/ which is quite new and a work in
progress. We are hopeful that people, such as yourself, will be able to
contribute directly.
All other documentation goes on pretty much as before. i.e. Find an open
task, write it up and get it published. Obviously we use Issue Tracker a
lot in fulfilling our goals.
Welcome to the project. As Ger wrote, you can find directions how to
improve the documentation on the Documentation site. If you would like
to have a look at how to improve the Online Help, see the new online
help Wiki page at http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/OOo_OnlineHelp
Regards
Uwe
