Probably the easiest way, is through a template. I'm taking a look at it at
the moment. Haven't got any graphics as yet, as I am still checking out the
mechanics of it. If you want to see what I got so far, check
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Getting_Started:_Copyright
If anyone has icons or graphics that I should be incorporating, just upload
and leave a message on my user page, which is User:Kirk. Any other
suggestions can be left on the talk page at Template:StartPages.

For anyone interested, this is more-or-less the effect I would like to
achieve regarding the wiki display of the OOoAuthors user guides, but with
more illustrations:

I particularly like the icons and topic names at the bottom of each page,
showing Home (the Contents page), Next and Previous pages, so one can go
through the whole thing like a book if one wants to.
I am sure there are ways to automate this on the wiki, but I don't know
how (haven't taken the time to research it).
I admit that I'm hurling a lot of stuff up there without sufficient
planning beforehand, but I also know that it's far too easy for me to
spend all my time planning and never get around to actually putting the
plans into action. Yes, I know that sometimes means I end up spending more
time on cleanup later, but at least the info is available to users in the
meanwhile. That's my personal choice of balance between what's best for me
as the producer and what's best for the consumers... I don't expect anyone
else to take the same approach.
