Estamos trabajando en la metodologia con la que empezaremos la
traduccion de OOo. Este es un mail que acabo de recibir de Rafaella.
Todo parece que nos guia a la opcion de traduccion off line donde
podemos hacer la traduccion en nuestras maquinas SIN necesidad de
estar conectado.
Tambien ya empeze a traducir bajo esta metodologia y pueden ver mi
avanze. Quiero crear unos tutoriales en OOoXtremo para que todos
estemos de alguna manera en la misma pagina de trabajo.

please let me also add that the reason why the Sun Pootle server doesn't
provide Spanish is simply because we just set it up recently and we are
still in the testing phase, and still having issues and trying to fix those.
We have uploaded only 3 languages .... and believe me I am so happy to
have limeted it to these 3 languages! Italian is one of those 3
languages and we have made only the GUI content available on Poolte but
because we are having some write access issues we cannot even save the
strings translated. It's nothing really major but the system admin who
can help fix this will be back on June 23 so the translation of the
Italian GUI is stalled at the moment and the Italian team although at
the beginning were pushing back asking to be able to translate the OLH
via Pootle are now very happy to have received sdf files....
It's not that I don't appreciate your efforts to use a different
methodology .... I really would like to make sure that your and your
team's efforts are not invane in the sense that I want to make sure that
the translation work you are doing can be imported back into the product.
Unfortunately, Pootle is not an option at the moment for Spanish.
The Pootle server is a management system for the translation workflow.
There is a translation online editor integrated but the files you get in
case you don't want to use that editor are po files which you can then
edit with editors like poedit or others.
The sdf files I provided you have already been filtered out so that you
exactly know what needs to be translated. No need to synchronize. And
they can be converted into po....
Either with Poolte and with sdf files you'll need to work with a po
editor....
For the 2.4 release we will more languages uploaded to the Sun Pootle
server including Spanish.
I am hearing your voice very well and I am taking you very seriously and
I will make sure that Spanish will definitively be uploaded to the Sun
Pootle server for the 2.4 release.
Hope these additional information and comments will help you making a

I'll just add this: The Ars Aperta server is not broken or anything but
Sun has nothing to do there, it's only being run by teams who do not
interact with Sun servers inside the localization processes. If you want
to work on the ES localization with Sun, please do it on Sun servers. In
the end, the Ars Aperta server just as the Pootle server of Wordforge
for OOo are supposed to close and migrate their data to Sun community
servers.

If you translate using that server you risk that the translation you

I thought that we had agreed to use the files we delivered to carry
out Spanish translation as we did last time. I know that this might be
frustrating if you want to use the Pootle server now. But as I said
this is the initial phase and we really need to make sure we SUN and
COMMUNITY can synchronize the work as much as possible and we are
working very hard since some months to reach that. For the 2.4 release
as I said you in previous mail conversations we will be able to have
Spanish as well as many other languages Sun and non Sun languages on
the Poolte server hosted on the sunvirtuallab. Again that was a
Community decision to wortk towards a central Poolte server.
Please let me know if you will be working on the files I provided
following the process I clearly described from the right beginning and
which has been reported on the wiki page at
