I’ll definitely volunteer to handle the details … well I guess most things are already handled and I’m just waiting on a “Go-consensus”, but I think we have that and now it would be up to filling the seats ;-)
I think this would be the best option to finally get the team together AND get new people involved. For me the community over code thing is not restricted to “Flex community over Flex code”, but more a total ASF view thing. For me it’s 1000+ to make it happen. Yes. Note that not only is it a possibility, but this is specifically the direction that we want to take with ApacheCon - a convention of Apache project/community conferences. Apache: Big Data was the test balloon, so to speak. This time we'll have Apache: IoT, and TomcatCon, and CloudStack Collaboration Conference. It would be great to have Flex in the list as well. Look for a blog post on https://blogs.apache.org/conferences/ in the next few days elaborating further on this idea. And please drop by the apachecon-disc...@apache.org mailing list if you want to get in on actually making it happen.
