Hmmm. There must be somethng different with Your system. For checking i
installed a DEV300 m39 OOo version on my WebTop (Fujitsu U1010, should
have less performance than Your machine, running XP). Runs like a charm
with AA and FullDrag on, no problems at all.
I guess Your Problem has more to do with the aw033 preparations which
were integrated into DEV300 m30, so You would have to compare DEV300 m29
and DEV300 m30. Please do that if it's possible.
If this is the case i still know no concrete reason. OOo is not reading
from graphics card memory (we had that problem for 2.2 partially), and
it's not yet using GDI+, nor anything else besides VCL stuff. The
biggest difference in repaint is that it's done using primitives now
(see CWS aw033 and it's tasks, especially
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/DrawingPrimitives). CWS aw033
run over three Years and changed 300.000 lines to prepare for those new
features. It's in since DEV300 m30 and You are the first one
complaining. I thoroughly checked performance using my U1010 WebTop
during development.
I hope we can identify some reason, there is no principle reason for the
behaviour You describe on Your system. Maybe someting is wrong in the
graphics configuration. Have You tried to update Your drivers?
