Will you be doing a survey of Close() calls to verify that?

But what I'm asking is, should we make it a requirement that Close() cannot be 
done before consuming input, so that it isn't just "in practice" but considered 
a bug if that happens?  If so, then we should document this somewhere (and it'd 
be nice if we could add some kind of DCHECK to verify).
