Thanks, Ulf. That is a useful starting point, and a good reason to keep this
issue open. I looked at the files in the archive without running them: the
readme mentions EmailNotifierPlugin.java, the subscription package and
EmailNotifier.java, which are not in the zip, so I cannot build it as it is. It
also polls all the pages from a background thread, while the design discussed
in 2009 in this issue was an event listener on the save of a page. If you can,
please attach the missing files too, with the license granted to the ASF, and I
will check whether it can be built against the current API and report back here.
