Arturo Bernal commented on JSPWIKI-90:
--------------------------------------
[~udittmer], here is a tree with only the two pull requests, so you do not have
to merge anything yourself:
https://github.com/arturobernalg/jspwiki/tree/test/JSPWIKI-90-notifications .
It is today's master with pull requests 565 and 566 merged into it.
To get it and build it (you need Git, Java 17 and Maven):
{code}
git clone --branch test/JSPWIKI-90-notifications
https://github.com/arturobernalg/jspwiki.git
cd jspwiki
mvn -DskipTests -pl jspwiki-war,jspwiki-wikipages/en,jspwiki-wikipages/de -am
package
{code}
The result is jspwiki-war/target/JSPWiki.war, which you can deploy as usual. I
built exactly this tree here: the build succeeds and the war contains the new
Subscribe.jsp. I have not run it against a mail server.
The mail settings are in jspwiki.properties (mail.from, mail.smtp.host and
mail.smtp.port, plus the account and password if your server needs them). To
try it, subscribe a user to a page with the new menu entry of pull request 566,
save that page and check that the mail arrives; also save a page nobody is
subscribed to. I did not try: unsubscribing and then saving, saving with the
box unchecked in the editor, and the comments added with Comment.jsp.
Thanks for testing it.

> There should be eMail notification on changes or new comments for authors and
> people who wish to be cced, same as in Bugzilla.
> A page would have a list of users to notify for changes.
> In the "more.." menu could be an "notify me for changes", same with a
> checkbox for the new page dialog.
