Actually the problems on fileinstall or on the 3.1.0 and 3.1.2, so we don't really need to upgrade karaf 2.1.x to fileinstall 3.1.x (afaik, we can keep fileinstall 3.0.2 which works fine). I'll do some check on KARAF-327 and we should be good to go.
