Folks - I believe this conversation is not what is intended for this JIRA.
My understanding is that this has come from wanting to be able to LB from a
Knox dispatcher to multiple backend services where their HA story is one of
active-active rather than the popular active-passive pattern used in HDFS,
Hive, etc.
This has come from a discussion of adding support for Livy and a desire to LB
across multiple Livy servers.
So, we already support LB across multiple gateway instances and is documented
for apache mod_proxy, but can be used with nginx or any other LB impl.
