Hi:
We have already done the translation of OpenOffice.org 2.1 to Galician
language.
We want to submit those PO files to the OpenOffice CVS and also to keep them
updated constantly for next versions.
But we need information on how to do this. Here they are some of our
questions:
1.-How can we do to submit the translated PO files/GSI file???.
You need to submit only gsi file
a) for releases via issuezilla - look
http://l10n.openoffice.org/servlets/ReadMsg?list=dev&msgNo=7355
b) for development snapshots to Pavel
2.-Do we need project-owner permissions in gl.openoffice.org???
When you need to edit teh page, then yes.
3.-How can we know when there will be new po files to translate???
Pavel puts new pot files regularly in
http://ftp.linux.cz/pub/localization/OpenOffice.org/devel/POT/
It happens approximately once in week
4.-Since one year ago, we compile the gl versions of openoffice.org and put
them
in www.mancomun.org. If we keep the po files updated constantly, will we
need to
compile openoffice or will you compile them and put the files to download
from
download section on www.openoffice.org????
putting on mirrors is more complicated, you need to do QA for builds.
Its a longer talk and not the right one to talk about
5.-We sent the JCA and we don't have any answer about this... How long can
it takes???
The names should appear in contributors list at
http://www.openoffice.org/copyright/copyrightapproved.html
6.-Is there any guide step-by-step on how to do all these things???? It's
not clear how to do those kinds of things???
You can find many things in Pavels blog: http://blog.janik.cz
Most important information is dated in september....december 2005 when
I'm right.
P.D.: Sorry about the english
Me too. ;)
