What I have seen is that localisation29 was integrated a month after it was created, since all the others was integrated in less than 6 days. > > What we IMHO should try to achieve is that sanity checks get done for > most/all languages affected by the CWS i.e. quick checks if the CWS > introduces severe regressions or whether bugs remain that prevent a > release for a given language. I think that sanity checks are not adapted here, we need to verify the new translation and the new functionalities (meaning UI, but also tips and extended tips, help content, error messages, etc...) and also, the correction we have made in several files. Most of the time I use the tests available here :http://qa.openoffice.org/ooQAReloaded/TestcaseSpecifications/OpenOffice.org_3.0/ I think we should have a translation (one of my duty ;) and an easy access to the test example provided in those tests. May be we should envisage to have a real set of tests for our localization? This is not to criticize the tests on TCM (thanks to Naoyuki for her work), but I think we need to work more on the test cases, tests examples and the framework to manage them. > > But even if the time for testing is not sufficient and the CWS gets > integrated before the testing is (fully) done, it still makes sense to > continue with testing. Yes of course, and this discussion is only here to try to enhance our process :) I know that QA is the second most important step behind localization and I think we can make progress here.
