Which is the reference checker? IMHO the alternative word
finding is one of the advantages of myspell, I like in it.

My suggestion goes into the other direction, to improve myspell's capabilities
to have to provide less words at the starting point.
In some cases thinking and human intelligence has better results,
than mechanic munching and zipping.In the case of dictionaries
definitively.

That is a good idea, if the personal dicionaries all have
proper and right prefix/suffix combinations. They should have!
