Hi all! I have some questions that I don't know if they have to be posted on this list or on the general "dev" list.
I expect to release, in about two weeks, the first version of the new Spanish dictionary for spelling correction. I am able to make specific dictionaries for each localization of Spanish (that is around 20 different localizations), and also a "general" one (that is, one that includes words from all Spanish localizations). This dictionaries will be distributed under a LGPL license. The community involved on "es" native-lang project wants this dictionary to be installed along with OO.org, and not be required to download and install as a second step, like English or Italian ones. Licensing terms will now allow this. What I can't decide is, if it will be preferably to only ship the general dictionary or, on the other hand, just the localized ones (20 different dictionaries). OO.org, AFAIK, doesn't have support for configuration of a language general dictionary (without a specific localization). So, by using this "general" approach, we will have to attach this dictionary to one specific localization (e.g. es_ES), which seems to be incorrect, because it is not a specific dictionary for that localization. The other solution is to ship all localized dictionaries, which could be considered excessive. Other approach could be to add a new entry on the list of languages (something like "Spanish (international)"), but I think this will require many other changes, at least on 'dictionary.lst' syntax.
