>- see footer for list info -< I think we must have replied to one another directly at some point and not noticed, so all our replies to each others posts from that point have not been going to the list but to each other LOL.
What you can also do is stick a cookie on each users machine so you know they have already registered, and thus stop them registering again. Their sessions may not be getting stored due to a number of reasons such as NAT, proxy servers, antispyware, cookeis being disabled etc. You could always try using JSessionID's instead of CFID's Russ -----Original Message----- From: Jenny Gavin-Wear [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: 14 June 2005 08:40 To: Snake Cc: Coldfusion Development Subject: RE: [CF-Dev] CFID Still looking at this. I've always had UUID switched on, and I had it set to purge every 90 days - have just upped this to 180. I'm getting a lot of repeated CFID:CFTOKEN against new registrations sooo, just how unique is it? Was talking to Ade about this over the weekend. I agree Ade, it's a hassle, but we really don't want people to be able to create two profiles from the same pc. (Snake, when I hit reply to you from the list it sticks in your private email address, with anyone else it puts in the list name ...) > -----Original Message----- > From: Snake [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: 11 June 2005 09:51 > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: RE: [CF-Dev] CFID > > > Both CFID and CFTOKEN are used to ensure uniqueness and are created at > the same time.
