The client enters all of the financial data on to a spreadsheet. This is
their bible ....
The idea is to hand over ownership of the whole web process to the client.
They do not have the expertise to convert to a database. At present I have
been doing this for them but in my new job (council restructure) I won't be
allowed or have time to do this ....
Ideally the client would upload a spreadsheet and thats all they have to do
.... (thats actually all they are capable of doing in an IT role)
So the system needs to have the sreadsheet (Actually there could be 3 for
different financial services) and then create the datasource. If its easier
to use XML I guess they could upload an XML file. Perhaps there's a way of
exporting the data to MSSQL via coldfusion? - but then you might as well use
the XLS as a datsource anyway .... I dunno ...?
either way I don't know where to start .....
