You really should *never* upgrade, try and always install clean - it usually gives better results. 2. Try and delete any CFUSIONMX reg keys and folders left over before trying to install again. 3. check the services. 4. run the iisconnectors.bat file to connect it to IIS X. I am trying to install CFMX on my server - all went well on the trial run on my desktop but of course when it matters on the server it all goes pear shaped. I installed it over the top of CF5 and re-started, all went well and the administrator worked fine and imported all of my settings, DB all verified ok. When I tried to look at a cf page I got a http error 500 internal server error. I have now uninstalled MX and am trying to re-install it but it won't let me install it on IIS. How do I force this?
