could put it in a batch file and run that instead? or possibly check the
properties of your dos prompt window and see if there's an attribute for
max line length or summat.

OK, I'm trying to type

c:\cfusionmx\runtime\jre\bin\java -cp c:\cfusionmx\runtime\lib
  -jar c:\cfusionmx\runtime\lib\wsconfig.jar
  -ws IIS -site "0" -filter-prefix-only
  -map .cfm,.cfc,.cfml,.jsp -v

into the command prompt on Windows 2000 but I only get up to -fi on
filter. Does it only allow 255 characters or something?

Follow the previous posts on installing CFMX as stand alone and then
running the commands to convert it over to IIS

Subject: [ cf-dev ] Help - CFMX installation woes

Hi. I am trying to install CFMX on my server - all went well on the
trial run on my desktop but of course when it matters on the server it
all goes pear shaped.

I installed it over the top of CF5 and re-started, all went well and the
administrator worked fine and imported all of my settings, DB all
verified ok. When I tried to look at a cf page I got a http error 500
internal server error. I have now uninstalled MX and am trying to
re-install it but it won't let me install it on IIS. How do I force
this?

Thanks
