true, and like a lot of developers there I have a lot of reservations on the
current viability of RIAs (and yes I've developed a few), but it seems that
this is what MM is pushing at the moment, so I was kind of expecting it. An
idea I really did like though was Philipp Cielen's little 'entire online
store in a flash banner' app. Neat thinking.

There should have been a LOT more CFC talks focusing on why we should be
using CFCs, as most of the discussions about them went along the lines of
"Here they are in CFMX, start using them cos they're great, and cos then you
can integrate flash really easily". I would have liked to have seen more
discussion about the intricacies of CFCs and CFIMPORT etc...

Having said that, Benoit's talk on MVC and Simon Slooten's CFCs *were* great
talks, as was Simon Horwith's Data File Access API.

Charlie's talk on CFMX Hidden Gems should really have been "Go read my
weblog, and here's a few hidden books of mine you should buy, and by the
way, have you heard about my new book?". I expected to see him busking for a
few extra coins on my way to the station.

Its a pity that Aral Balkan's talk on Firefly was kind of obliterated by Ben
Forta's keynote.

Its also a pity that Ektron chose to try and sell us their ASP written CMS
products at a CF conference.

But that aside, it was great to meet up with people and put names to faces,
and generally swap coding tips and experiences etc. Invaluable really.
